The Brenda and Glennda Show was a groundbreaking Manhattan Public Access show that aired in the 1990s, which took drag out of the nightclubs and into the streets, using activism and humor to address political and social issues. This program features the legendary "On the Campaign Trail with Joan Jett Blakk" in which Glennda and the first drag queen to run for President visit the 1992 Democratic Convention. And as a Halloween treat, we'll also be screening "The Drag Queen Murder Mystery."
The screening will be followed by a Q&A with director Glenn Belverio, moderated by culture critic Ben Shields, then drag performances by Nancy Nogood, Reina Nobuena and Oliver Herface!
